From 27 to 29 August, as part of the “Living Images of Austro-Hungarian Pula” event, all visitors can enjoy 50% off admission to the Gallerion Maritime Collection.
Visit us at Riva 12 and discover Pula’s maritime history through objects, documents, photographs and ship models related to the Austro-Hungarian Navy. The collection tells stories of ships built at the Pula Arsenal, admirals and sailors who lived and served here, and life in Pula during the period when the city was the main naval port of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
The “Living Images of Austro-Hungarian Pula” event, taking place from 27 to 29 August, brings Pula of the late 19th and early 20th centuries closer to visitors through costumed historical characters, guided tours, exhibitions and other events. This period left a lasting mark on the city’s development and identity.
The Navy played an important role in this history. After Pula was designated the Monarchy’s main naval port, the city underwent rapid development, including the construction of the Arsenal and other military infrastructure, as well as the arrival of numerous sailors, officers and their families.
